The Pickled Art Centre of Beijing was established in 1999 in Shangrila, Beigao’s art district, where there were many national and international artists living and working together. There is a bronze casting foundry facility, exhibition spaces, studio spaces and workrooms for enlargement of sculptures. We have had visiting artists from Norway, Australia, America(North and South), Germany, England, France, Switzerland, New Zealand and the Netherlands working and living here at the Centre. It offers a good opportunity for visiting and working in Beijing.
In 2005, the Pickled Art Centre will begin its programme of art exchange for foreign artists. The programme will offer a wide variety of material resources, facilities and technical expertise especially designed for the creation of sculpture. Our studio spaces and living accommodation can be rented for different lengths of time, as required. Artists who need facilities and expertise for the enlargement of sculpture are particularly welcome.
